ABOUT ME
Like I said, I’m a big people person.
I love getting to know people, what gets them excited, makes them jump out of bed in the mornings (or keeps them up at night), what it is that makes them unique - so I’d like to share a little bit of that with you.
Exploring the world.
Ever since I can remember I’ve had a desire to get out and see the world - be it jetting off overseas, finding a new hiking spot, or getting lost along winding roads.
I recently took off on a road trip up to Queensland, pitching camp at a new location every night. The days were long, but the views were beyond breathtaking. Off course there was a stop off at Movie World too…
And last year I popped off to Europe for my first solo trip - running around London, Scotland, Amsterdam, Italy, and France, having the absoloute time of my life. The food, the people, the art galleries! I was in heaven.
Here are some of my favourite moments..
Everything food.
I first fell in love with the hospitality industry when I was 15, working in a little family-owned pizza restaurant. From there I moved on to work in bars across Sydney’s CBD and Inner West - visiting as many venues as I could to soak up inspiration. I loved it all. The incredible food, learning about wine, the history and intricacies of different spirits, and most of all I loved the people.
I took it all in, and took it home with me. I cook just about every night, and love getting creative in the kitchen - recipes are just guidelines, right?
I’m constantly off finding the best new cafe, restaurant, or bar - so if you’re looking for recommendations, or if you have any to give, I’m all ears!
Lets go thrifting!
My love for thrifting started from a very young age, heading to Rozelle markets every weekend with my dad, sneaking BOXES of records into the garage where my mum wouldn’t find them.
I’ll admit, I may be addicted to Facebook Marketplace. I’m constantly buying and selling homewares, swapping out and upgrading furniture, finding little bits of personality to make each room unique - every piece has a story behind it.
On weekends I’m heading to local markets or thrift stores, adding to my wardrobe or the ever-growing pile of books in my ‘to read next’ stack.
